What is your card machine costing you a year?
Two numbers from your merchant statement and you have the annual figure. Most business owners know the percentage but have never multiplied it out. This is an illustration to help you compare, not a quotation.
Your figures
Nothing you type here is sent anywhere. The figures stay in your browser until you decide to talk to us.
No charge to you. The provider pays us.
What a different rate would mean
The same turnover at other rates, so you can see what a fraction of a percent is worth over a year. These are arithmetic, not offers. What you would actually be charged depends on the provider, your card mix and how your business trades.

What the percentage does not include
The headline rate is the biggest line for most businesses, but it is not the whole bill. When we review an arrangement we look at all of it.
Questions about the numbers
Where do I find my rate?
On your monthly merchant statement, usually shown as a percentage per transaction. Some statements list several rates for different card types. If you are not sure which to use, take the one applied to the largest share of your turnover, or call us and we will read it with you.
Is the percentage the whole cost?
No. Authorisation charges, minimum monthly fees, terminal rental, PCI charges and exit terms all affect what you actually pay across a year. The percentage is the largest part for most businesses, which is why the calculator starts there.
Does this tell me what I would pay elsewhere?
No, and it deliberately does not try. It is arithmetic on your own figures so you can see what a fraction of a percent is worth over a year. What another provider would charge depends on your card mix, your average transaction size and how your business trades.
What happens if I ask you to look at it?
We ask for a recent statement, compare what you pay against the panel we work with, and tell you what we find. If your current arrangement is already competitive we will say so. There is no charge to you at any point and nothing to sign.
Before you sign anything
The calculator gives you an estimate. These explain what the real numbers on your statement mean.
Want us to check the real figure?
Send a recent statement and we will work through it properly, including the charges the percentage hides.
