1. Who we are
Jos Finserv Ltd ("Jos Finserv", "we", "us") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 14560046). Our registered office is 8 Shire Court, Quakers Yard, Treharris, CF46 5HJ.
We help UK businesses compare card machines, Square POS and business finance. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we don't ask for special category data.
3. How and why we use it (lawful bases)

4. Who we share it with
We only share what's needed, with:
- Providers and lenders: card machine providers (including Square, where we act as a reseller/partner) and finance providers, but only when you've asked us to get a quote or make an introduction. They then handle your data under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers who process data for us:
- Website hosting: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Domain and DNS: Cloudflare
- Email and email campaigns: Zoho
- Analytics and calendar: Google
- Instant lead alerts to our team: Telegram
- WhatsApp and social messaging: Meta
- Social media scheduling: Postiz, self-hosted by us
- Review widgets: Trustpilot
- Professional advisers and authorities: where the law requires it.
We never sell your data.
5. International transfers
Some providers (for example our website host, Google, Meta, Zoho and Telegram) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and leads that don't go ahead: up to 24 months from our last contact
- Clients: for the length of our relationship plus 6 years, for legal and accounting reasons
- Booking records: up to 24 months
- Marketing: until you unsubscribe (we keep a suppression record so we don't email you again)
- Analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics setting)
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using cookie settings. See our Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to our use of it (including for direct marketing, at any time), and ask for it to be transferred to you or someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email sales@josfinserv.co.uk to use any of these rights. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Security
We use HTTPS across our website, access controls, and reputable providers to protect your data. Please don't send full card numbers. A card statement with the card number hidden is all we need.

We'll update this page if our practices change. The "last updated" date shows the current version.
